Timing: Start hollyhocks 6-8 weeks before planting out after the last frost date.
Starting: Sow seeds on the surface of the soil and provide bright light.
Spacing: Transplant at 18-36″ apart. Good air circulation in important so don’t crowd plants.
Description: Sow hollyhocks seeds in full sun to partial shade. Tall spires grow to 2m (6') or more, but can take one year to get established. This blend has white, pink & purple flowers. Hollyhocks are both tall and drought tolerant, so they are a nice choice for xeriscaping.
