Ghee is a form of highly clarified butter that is traditionally used in Asian sub-continent cuisine. Like butter, ghee is typically made from cow's milk. Ghee is made by melting regular butter at very low temperatures to separate the milk solids from the fate and buttermilk, following which the buttermilk to boiled off over the course of 14-18 hours. This leaves behind the butter fats, glowing golden in colour, with a slightly nutty flavour from the caramelization of the milk solids on the bottom of the pot. Made in house at Meta4 Foods!
